Trumpeter, composer, and educator Alex Massa has spent the past 16 years traversing the globe, living in far-off and not-so-far-off places to refine his craft. Five of those years were spent in New Orleans—the birthplace of American music—where he studied and performed with several New Orleans legends, many of whom have since passed on.

On Friday, June 20, at 6:00 pm, Alex brings his traditional swing group to The Prairie Dog Taproom for a rare performance featuring a 7-piece band. You’ll hear classic sounds from greats like Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Kid Ory, and more.
