Camp Comfort with High Rise Opening

June 27 @ 7:00 pm

Get ready to feel the rhythm at Reggae Night at The Prairie Dog Taproom! On Thursday, June 27th at 7 PM, we’re bringing the island vibes to the Black Hills with Camp Comfort, Rapid City’s own reggae-rock powerhouse. Known for their electrifying live performances and genre-fusing sound, Camp Comfort blends blues rock, funk, reggae, hip-hop, and punk into a one-of-a-kind musical experience that will keep you dancing all night long.

Voted Best Live Band in South Dakota, Camp Comfort delivers high-energy shows featuring standout vocals, soulful guitar solos, groovy basslines, and infectious rhythms. Their debut album Day One Dream put them on the map—and they’ve been lighting up stages across the Midwest ever since.

Joining the party is special guest High Rise, turning up the heat with their own reggae-infused sound. It’s going to be a night of good vibes, great music, and unforgettable memories.

Musical Style

Camp Comfort’s music combines reggae’s laid-back grooves with rock’s intensity, layered with elements of funk, blues, jazz, punk, and metal. This fusion results in “highly-danceable guitar-centric jams” that are both relaxed and rugged. Their songs often feature playful lyrics, insistent grooves, and memorable melodies that invite even reluctant dancers to join in.

In 2020, Camp Comfort was voted Best Live Band in South Dakota, a testament to their captivating stage presence and ability to connect with audiences.

Live Performances

Camp Comfort’s live shows are described as electrifying experiences that blend the intimacy of a bonfire jam session with the energy of a reggae house party or festival blues-rock concert. Their ability to create an inclusive and engaging environment makes their performances unforgettable.

Camp Comfort’s unique sound, combined with their engaging live performances and skilled musicianship, solidifies their reputation as one of South Dakota’s most exciting bands.
